HOW DO ORGANIZATIONS BECOME MEMBERS?
Organizations seeking accreditation from and membership with the Evangelical Council for Missions Accountability (ECMA) must meet the following criteria:

•    Have been in existence for at least one year;
•    Submit an ECMA Application for membership;
•    Provide 2 independent references;
•    Complete an interview process with ECMA Staff.

Organizations not in existence for one year but desiring to begin their ministry on a solid foundation can apply for our Watchcare Program for one year.

ECMA applications, reference forms and payment of the $200 non-refundable application fee may be submitted electronically or via mail.  Application fees for organizations receiving accreditation will be applied to first year membership.

Fees and terms are not pro-rated based on fiscal year but become due and payable each fiscal year.

WHAT IS A WATCHCARE MEMBER?
Watchcare members do not receive full accreditation but do receive access to all training resources, donation processing, and review services.  The Watchcare Program has been developed to help start-up mission organizations to have a solid foundation from the start.  Watchcare applicants use the same process as regular applicants.

WHAT IS A BEST PRACTICES MEMBER?
A “Best Practices Member” is a member that institutes the Best Practices of ECMA (or equivalent or higher practices).  Best Practices members receive the right to use the “Best Practices” gold, accreditation seal.
