Donation Processing Department

ECMA Members benefit by gaining access to customized donations processing via mail, courier or online gifts without the headaches of setup or reporting.  This makes doing missions work even easier by providing an administrative cooperative for smaller organizations or those not yet having their 501(c)(3) determination.  Donation Processing Services are provided at no cost to ECMA members.

The goal of Donations Processing is to assist with the proper handling of finances while providing resources to simplify fundraising and reporting while reducing the operating costs and time for ECMA members.  Donation Processing makes missions a snap for smaller organizations and easier for larger organizations while providing full tax deductibility on all gifts - even those collected for churches sending mission teams.  Receivables and payable options exist for little or no fees (see below).

The Donation Processing Department is a 501(c)(3) entity with the express purpose of processing and distributing donations to ECMA member approved projects.  All gifts processed by Donation Processing are tax deductible according to IRS ruling.

What is Processing ::

What is processing?  Processing can be done for any partner whether they are foreign or domestic based, whether they are building a team or project or receiving teams for their projects.  That means a foreign missionary can have a U.S. team pay all fees to Donation Processing stateside and have the total monies forwarded for their project.  Donations can be received via the internet, mail or courier.

Also, processing is the disbursement of funds and paying of expenses for smaller entities that wish to have Donations Processing handle the outflow of cash to vendors as well as the inflow of donations.  This eliminates all financial administration.

Even more, a mission or ministry can have donations processed on an ongoing basis with a monthly disbursement to their organization.  This allows the organization to keep their own books and manage their own finances while gaining access to online donation tools and reducing paperwork and IRS reporting. 

Fees ::

There are no initial fees for Donation Processing.  Members with a high volume of transactions or multiple projects throughout the year are asked to help offset the administrative fees of online processing, printing, mailing and distribution.  Offsets are as follows:

Fee Offsets are based on Year To Date income calculated from January 1 through December 31 based on total income received for member organizations.  Each January 1, the Year to Date counter is set to $0.
